CAMOON PROJECT
Camoon is a strategic territorial touristic project initiated by a group of entrepreneurs which aims to characterize the Valle Camonica, The Iseo Lake Area and the city of Darfo Boario Terme as a touristic destination for sports related to road cycling and mountain biking in all its forms. In a territory that offers splendid mountain and lake landscapes, tourists can enjoy moments of sport and relax.
Our goal is to create an offer which includes short, medium and long-term experiences and to promote them in Italy and abroad creating attractiveness for tours, experiences, training, events, assistance, medicine and treatment, specialized hospitality. Our target includes all those who have a passion for the world of cycling and sports in general: professionals, amateurs, enthusiasts or families looking for new emotions.
In a few tens of kilometers, you can find the most important climbs of the Giro D’Italia, a wonderful lake of glacial origin, an uncontaminated and wild environment in which you can experience exciting moments accompanied by our organization and local people.
Camoon was born from an idea of Sycomor (www.sycomor.it), a strategic marketing and communication company, Bike Tour Italy (www.biketouritaly.com), a tour operator specializing in road bike tours and 5 bike hotels located in the city of Darfo Boario Terme: Rizzi Aqua Charme (www.rizziaquacharme.it and www.termediboario.it), Hotel Brescia (www.hotelbrescia.it), Albergo Sorriso (www.albergosorriso.it), Hotel Diana (www.hoteldianadarfoboarioterme.com) and Albergo Aprica (www.albergoaprica.it).
Other technical sponsors support the initiative. Camoon isn’t just road bike tours but it has also involved the most important mountain biking groups in the area, associations and mountain guides who offer unique experiences from the mountains to the lake.
At the center of our project lays Darfo Boario Terme, a thermal tourist town that has evolved over the years and that today proposing itself as a touristic destination for cyclists. Darfo Boario Terme has already been the site of important cycling events like Giro D’Italia, thanks to its fascinating mountain network, historic peaks and breathtaking landscapes.
