Berzo: Yesterday and today
What was behind this door? Has this house always been the same shape? What happened in this courtyard? The “Berzo: Yesterday and Today” project was born from these questions, from the desire to rediscover the atmosphere of past years, to remember corners and places of Berzo that are no longer visible today. This country, since the Second World War, has undergone an important transformation. Progress, the economic boom, technologies have revolutionized life and with this works, infrastructures and the landscape. Walking through the streets of Berzo you can be transported back in time, to the age of our parents, grandparents or great-grandparents.
The route is divided into 9 stages:
1. The Vaso Re
2. The Cinema Theater in Via San Tomaso
3. The Smithies
4. The Imperadori sawmill
5. The old school building
6. Piazza Umberto I and the Partisan Resistance
7. The Taverns
8. The mill in Via Santa Maria
9. The new Via Beato Innocenzo
